Biomedical Informatics is the scientific field that studies how to make effective use of biomedical data, information, and knowledge in support of biomedical research and human health.
The Division of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) is located within the College of Public Health and serves as the academic home of DBMI, while the BMI Core is located within the CCTS. To learn more about the research being conducted in BMI, please visit the Division website.
The Biomedical Informatics Core (BIC) provides access to biomedical informatics expertise, technologies, and data management platforms to the UK CCTS and their investigators.
To learn more about how the exciting field of biomedical informatics can help with your research, please join us at one of our monthly seminars or look at the page of data sets and/or application tools that can assist you.
