For investigators who need oversight of their protocol by a Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), the CCTS Regulatory Support key function provides a DSMB comprised of a core multidisciplinary team. Ad hoc members are appointed as needed to provide specialized expertise. The DSMB meets on a bi-annual basis to assess the ongoing safety of protocols. Protocols are scheduled for review prior to initiation and then on an interim basis during the trial. Investigators who utilize CCTS services may request oversight by the DSMB.
