The Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training at the University of Cincinnati has joined with UK’s CCTS to advance research collaborations through joint initiatives. The UC CCTST, funded by an NIH CTSA grant, is a founding partner in the Appalachian Translational Research Network and co-sponsor of the inaugural Appalachian Health Summit, scheduled for April 21, 2011. Additional initiatives to date include a recurring joint RFA for pilot funding targeting pediatric research, and adoption by UK’s CCTS of the highly successful University of Cincinnati “Community Leaders Institute” designed to provide focused research training to community partners.
