The Center for Clinical and Translational Science at the Ohio State University has joined with UK’s CCTS to advance research collaborations through joint initiatives. The Ohio State CCTS, funded by an NIH CTSA grant, is a founding partner in the Appalachian Translational Research Network and co-sponsor of the inaugural Appalachian Health Summit, scheduled for April 21, 2011. Additional initiatives to date include a recurring joint RFA for pilot funding to support new research collaborations focused on community engagement, and co-sponsorship of a spring 2011 conference on comparative effectiveness, hosted by the Ohio State CCTS.
