Professional Student Mentored Research Fellowship
This program provides mentored clinical and translational research training to students in professional clinical training programs, including MD, DMD, PharmD, Clinical Psychology, Nursing and Physician’s Assistant Programs. To be eligible, students must complete the Introduction to Clinical Research as a summer workshop or spring semester seminar, identify a mentor and submit an application. Applications are accepted twice each year.
Students awarded the fellowship will receive a stipend of $3,000 to enable them to complete:

A mentored research experience linked to an ongoing faculty research project based on a detailed research training plan developed with the mentor that constitutes a ‘contract’ signed by trainee and mentor.

Experiential activities designed to provide orientation to the academic discipline of clinical and translational science and the peer-review process.
Eligibility: Students in professional programs in the health sciences who have completed the Introduction to Clinical Research seminar.
To maintain eligibility, fellowship students must submit quarterly progress reports and their mentors must submit quarterly evaluations.
Application: Applicants should complete and submit the PSMRF Practicum Contract to the TEAM Education Program Assistant by the dues dates: January 31 and April 30.
