The CCTS Concierge Program is key to providing broad-based access to CCTS services and research support. The Concierge Program also helps ensure the success of the CCTS mission to expand clinical and translational science through research collaborations across the University of Kentucky and throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and thereby to impact the health of our citizens.
The Concierge Program is composed of a concierge and program specialists who:
- serve as liaisons to CCTS leadership and staff,
- connect researchers to potential research collaborators and help build research teams,
- guide clients to technologies and resources available for clinical and translational research, and
- direct investigators to novel methodologies available at UK and elsewhere.
Concierge services are provided via the CCTS Website, email, and phone. Investigators, research staff, administrators, students, community partners and anyone seeking information about CCTS services are also invited to make an appointment to meet with the Concierge.
The Concierge Program is a valuable resource at the outset of research development on such downstream issues as regulatory matters and intellectual property rights that are best addressed early on. In this framework, the Concierge often serves as a short-term project manager, assisting with project development and coordinating services before referring the investigator to CCTS program specialists for additional support.
