The conference will be held April 9, 2024 in Lexington, Ky.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 8, 2023) — One University of Kentucky researcher has helped solve a 60-year-old mystery about one of the body’s most vital organs: The heart.

Members of the CCTS biomedical informatics team coauthored a paper, recently published in JAMA Open Network, based on analysis of Medicaid data from 2019-2020 in Kentucky and Ohio.

Dr. Philip Kern received the UK College of Medicine’s highest honor in medical education, the William R. Willard Dean’s Recognition Award.
