CCTS Transitioning to New Location
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2024) — In pursuing the common strategic vision to advance the health of Kentucky, senior leaders at UK HealthCare and University of Kentucky have decided to relocate the Center for Clinical Translational Sciences (CCTS) clinical research operations to Floor 3 of Chandler Hospital Pavilion CC, also known as the Markey Cancer Center Ben F. Roach Cancer Care Facility. This move is key to optimizing our research capabilities and better serving our participants. These efforts also support Chandler Medical Center's efforts to cohort patients by service to enhance provider and staff efficiency, as well as nursing competencies for specialty services.
This relocation will impact the following CCTS teams:
- CCTS Inpatient Unit, Outpatient Unit, and CCTS Administrative Offices on the 3rd floor
We are committed to managing these changes thoughtfully, with the goal of minimizing disruption and maximizing collective strengths.
Timeline
The move will occur in two phases.
- Phase 1 involves the inpatient unit currently on 5 North. The inpatient unit is scheduled to move into the new space on November 11, 2024. FAABC equipment including the Dexa scanner is included in Phase 1.
- Phase 2 involves the outpatient unit and administrative offices. The outpatient unit is scheduled to move into the new space by March 17, 2025.
The move affects several other UKHC areas and the teams are committed to meeting this deadline. The CCTS appreciates your understanding and support during this period of change. We will keep you informed and involved throughout this process as details become available.
