The Community Engagement & Research program is supported by a central office at UK, a Community Champions Cabinet, and two Rural Research Hubs located within the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health (Hazard, KY) and St. Claire Regional Medical Center (Morehead, KY). Both Rural Research Hubs are located in Appalachian Kentucky and are staffed with a clinical faculty liaison and a research study coordinator.
Services include:

Study coordination support from either or both of the two CCTS Rural Research Hubs (UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health in Hazard, Ky. and St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky.).

Research consultation on community engaged grant applications, project implementation, and/or research dissemination;

Identification of collaborative partnerships with community organizations, practice-based research networks;

Identification of collaborative opportunities within the Appalachian Translational Research Network and the Consortium of Rural States (CORES).

Connection to the CCTS Community Champions Cabinet, which includes stakeholders from healthcare, public health, education and private sectors, and local communities who provide an invaluable interface between the CCTS Community Engagement and Research Core and rural communities.
