The Center for Clinical and Translational Science offers mentor training using the CIMER Entering Mentoring Curriculum. The program is intended for UK faculty members with mentees in health or biomedical fields. This training is highly recommended for all mentors and meets the requirements for serving as a mentor on an NIH-funded training grant. This interactive, in-person training is offered four times a year. There is no cost to participate.
Participate in one of the four cohorts below. All sessions are held at the Charles T. Wethington Building, Room 127 (CTW 127). Space is limited; please register as soon as possible.
- February 5th, 12th, 19th, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm (Wednesdays)
- May 9th, 16th, 23rd, 7:00 am – 9:00 am (Fridays)
- August 9th, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Saturday)
- November 5th, 12th, 19th, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Wednesdays)

Participant Expectations and Obligations
- Attend all scheduled sessions (required for training certification).
- Participate in group discussions and share past experiences as mentor and mentee.
- Complete all assigned activities.
