LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 24, 2024) - WUKY's "On Medicine" radio program recently highlighted the CCTS Spring Conference, which drew nearly 1,100 attendees including Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton who issued a proclamation that April 9 is "Translational Science Day" in the city.

Clinicians, researchers, trainees, undergraduates, high school students, and community partners gathered at the 19th Annual Spring Conference to share research and foster collaborations.

The last day to register for the free event is March 31.

The program aims to help ensure that research studies are designed to address real-life needs.

The program allows students from underrepresented backgrounds and communities to get a jumpstart in health equity research early in their college experience

The Survivors Union of the Bluegrass is comprised of those who identify as people who use drugs and/or people in non-abstinence-based recovery.

The conference will be held April 9, 2024 in Lexington, Ky.
